Scenes From The Weekend

(jotting stories, drafting papers)

 (berries & yogurt)

(work break = mirror portrait = excuse to play with camera settings)

(black tea & orange blossom honey)

(newish office nook in the living room)

 (breakfast of champions)

(pink super ladies taking a dip in porcelain)

Well, that was a productive weekend. I was all but glued to my computer, working to meet deadlines and brainstorm story ideas. It feels nice to check a bunch of items off the to-do list.

I also ate an absurd amount of berries and felt excited for the warmer months, when they'll be cheaper and farm-fresh. I think I could live on berries. Other than that, we watched the Oscars and slept 'til nearly eleven both days. It was amazing.

I have a good feeling about this week...something's in the air. Anyone else feel the same? Here's to hoping!

  1. You berry-filled meals look delicious! I haven't had blackberries in so long! Your weekend sounds like a perfect amount of productivity and relaxation. I got very productive this week, too, and have made some pretty big changes. I have a really good feeling about this week, too! Here's to hoping, indeed! : )

  2. Berries are beginning to appear at the farmer's markets here -- and they're delicious (and so good for you too). It's wonderful that you got so much done this weekend, and had a very delicious nutella-filled breakfast to add to its sweetness. I can't wait until my bananas are ripe so I can do the same. Happy Monday, darling!

  3. I second Jane - love your newish office nook! Hope you are keeping well my friend, I feel we are out of touch and will email you once I am settled back in London. Hugs!

  4. I LOVE the new desk!! I'm trying to keep my eye on Craigslist for an antique desk/workspace- eek! Glad you had a lovely weekend, I can't wait until Spring too!

  5. i dream of a desk like that! and i love using little teacups for my jewelry :)

oscars : SO LOVE that Colin Firth and "The King's Speech" won!!! xo

  6. I always love the scenes from your weekend, Kayla!

  7. hah! just sat down with a big bowl of strawberries + blueberries. i could totally live on berries--so yummy! and that orange blossom honey sounds divine.

  8. Love, love, loving your weekend-those berries look so divine!

Your thoughts always bring a smile to my face. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave them.
