Endings & Beginnings

Another school year completed. I said goodbye this week, and it was hard. It's always hard.

This particular year was really wonderful for me professionally: it feels good to recognize and celebrate that. However, it's always a little bit strange to transition into the relaxed tenure of summer. During the school year, my brain is constantly moving at what feels like one thousand miles per second. Now, the rejuvenation begins. I find that I like to ease into it in order to fully embrace its greatness: make some plans, break some plans, find a rhythm, lose a rhythm...

I'm excited.

P.S. Indulge me and my cloud analysis for a second? Doesn't the topmost cloud resemble both the state of California and a baby sonogram? Or am I just nuts?

P.P.S. I put together a guest post over on Passports & Pancakes detailing my dream dinner party. Check it out!

  1. The end of the school year is bittersweet. I almost always wanted to cry when I was a student....Then, when I did my student teaching I absolutely bawled. Enjoy your summer!

BTW yes, the cloud resembles both CA and a baby sonogram although I didn't notice until you mentioned it.

  2. I have so missed the rhythm of the scholastic year since I finished my Masters–it's one of those things I think I'll always feel connected to. Enjoy the plans, and canceling them!

And yes, totally looks like I'm seeing CA beneath the Earth's crust.
