Scenes From the Weekend

I felt really, really happy this weekend. And really, really in love with that man I married. Admittedly, I'm always in love with love, but these past few days felt like we were dating again. Nothing specific, just a lot of little moments that made me want to fling my arms out and sing praise to the universe.

It probably had something to do with the fact that the weekend was full of my favorite things: a great hair day; perfect weather; an extra-long, sun-dappled bike ride; a simple homemade breakfast; spirited conversation at the coffee shop; park bench sittin'; burgers, fries and sundaes at a new 1950's "Norman Rockwell" type of joint; a funny movie; Sunday morning cavorting at the (huge!) farmer's market in a neighboring town; wildflower bouquets; fresh bread dunked in shopska salad; and making grandiose life plans with my better half.

Also, those slammin' new shades of mine make me look cooler than I am, so that's a major plus, too.

How was your weekend?

  4. I enjoyed the best part of my weekend before it was the weekend! I loaded up my car, grabbed my iPod, and hit the road to visit some friends for a few days. It was good to spend sone time with them. The drive was perfect with clear skies, AC, goid music, and pretty countryside.
